Nineteen of Medvedev's 21 championships have been won on hardcourt

A revitalized Medvedev claimed his initial trophy for nearly 30 months with a win over Frenchman Moutet in the tournament championship match.

Medvedev, a ex- top-ranked player, has endured a difficult period, achieving just a single victory at the Grand Slams and undergoing a difficult moment at the US Open.

The player's varied form on the professional circuit - and issues with his serve in specific - led to him dropping out of the top ten and ultimately separating with former trainer Gilles Cervara.

Currently working with Johansson and Goetzke, the tennis star has gradually advanced in the recent weeks - peaking in a tightly fought three-set win over opponent Corentin Moutet.

This marks the player's initial title after the Rome competition and maiden on a hard surface from March of that year.

The win also signifies he has secured twenty-one victories at twenty-one various competitions.

"For the first time I am participating in a event with my both daughters simultaneously, so to get a championship is really nice," commented ranked player Medvedev.

"This title is in tribute of my second daughter my daughter, because the initial championship I got when my older daughter my daughter was born was for her."

The tennis star, the past champion, had failed in his last six championship matches, featuring in that event earlier this year.

Medvedev's counter-punching approach and frequent reactions on the playing surface had led commentators to doubt if his skill to compete at the top level was finished.

But the athlete has altered his approach in recent weeks, attempting to advance forward and compete aggressively, backed up by an better serve.

Medvedev fought back from a deficit in the first set against the difficult Frenchman, securing 4 of the last five points to take the lead.

Both players traded break points in the following set before the challenger, striving for his maiden tour championship, took control to create a final set.

Moutet saved 4 early opportunities in a tight deciding set before the Russian broke to 15 to serve for the match.

Suitably, he secured the win with a shot at the net area, with the Frenchman incapable to control a shot after two hours and 38 minutes.
